In response to the childcare crisis, YWCA Grand Island reached out to providers, community organizations, public organizations, and experts in the child development field to find solutions to this crisis. This group formed the Hall County Early Education and Care Advocacy Coalition, with the goal of
advocating for private and public changes in the early education and
childcare landscape. The coalition is advocating through engagement with
elected officials to educate policy change, education of the public on the
need and challenges facing early education and childcare, and engaging with local employers and business leaders to determine how the private sector can become part of the solution.
